Dance Movement Therapy | Clinical Supervision

Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) is a form of psychotherapy that works with the connection between movement, body awareness, and emotional experience. It is based on the understanding that our thoughts, feelings, and life experiences are expressed not only through words but also through the body.In a DMT session, movement, creative exploration, and reflective dialogue are used to support emotional awareness, self-understanding, and personal change. Sessions may include simple movement exploration, body awareness practices, creative expression, and time for reflection and conversation. No dance experience is needed. The focus is not on performance or technique, but on using movement as a way to explore experience, support regulation, and deepen connection with oneself.Dance Movement Therapy can support people experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional challenges, life transitions, or those seeking greater self-understanding and embodied wellbeing.
